| The EEGS/FEEFHS conference will sample the Folklorama festival with a visit to three pavilions on Sunday evening. The air-conditioned tour bus (including some of the speakers) will pick up the participants at the conference hotel (Victoria Inn) in the late afternoon on Sunday, and return to the hotel later in the evening after the events. Those who register for this event will be taken to three ethnic pavilions in the one evening as follows: |
| |
| 1. |
Alpine Pavilion
(appetizer & beverage) |
| 2. |
Ukraine-Kyiv Pavilion
(dinner main course & beverage) |
| 3. |
Warsaw-Poland Pavilion
(dessert & non-alcoholic beverage)(note:beverages at the first two pavilions may be either alcoholic or non-alcoholic) |
|
| All pavilions have cultural displays and an ethnic entertainment program usually running at least 45 minutes, featuring top-notch entertainers. The Alpine Pavilion is usually a combined effort of Winnipeg's Bavarian, Austrian, and Swiss communities. The Poland and Ukraine pavilions are extremely popular due to the large population of Poles and Ukrainians in the city of Winnipeg. |
| |
| This event will provide one last gathering of the conference attendees to socialize, both on the bus and at the pavilions and will be a marvelous conclusion to the weekend. The VIP tour allows those attending to avoid long lineups, allows the group to sit together in a reserved seating area with a good vantage position for the entertainment. Without the VIP program it would be very difficult to visit 3 pavilions in one evening. |
| |
| The cost of the VIP Folklorama Bus Tour is $65.00 per person. This price includes the tour bus, meals, beverages, pavilion entrance fees, entertainment, and tips. Please note that this event was formally added to the conference proceeding after the brochures were printed and so registration for it is separate and was not included on the brochure. |
| |
| Payment should be submitted as soon as possible to the conference as seating on the bus is on a first-come, first-served basis. Make cheques payable and send to: |
